Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings at Folly Woods, operated by Folly Wood Events Ltd (“Folly Woods”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By making a booking and paying the required deposit, the Lead Booker confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions on behalf of themselves and all members of their group. The Lead Booker is responsible for ensuring that all members of their group are made aware of and comply with these Terms.

A “Lead Booker” is the person who makes and pays for the booking. A “Guest” means any person staying at or visiting Folly Woods under that booking.

Booking, Payment & Cancellation

As a small, independent, family-run business, Folly Woods operates a non-refundable booking policy.

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your accommodation. Your booking is not confirmed until this deposit has been received. The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.

The remaining 50% balance must be paid in full by 1 May 2027. Once paid, the balance is also non-refundable and non-transferable, except where required by law.

If the outstanding balance is not received by 1 May 2027, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain the deposit already paid.

If you are no longer able to attend, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@follywoods.co.uk. Where reasonably practicable, we will endeavour to resell your accommodation and may offer compensation where a successful resale allows us to do so. Any such payment will take into account reasonable costs already incurred.

By making a booking and paying the required deposit, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these booking and payment terms.

Booking Transfers & Resale

Bookings are personal to the Lead Booker and must not be sold, transferred, assigned, advertised for sale or otherwise passed to another person without our prior written consent.

The unauthorised resale or attempted resale of any booking, accommodation package or guest pass is strictly prohibited.

We reserve the right to cancel any booking which we reasonably believe has been transferred or resold without our permission. Where a booking is cancelled as a result of an unauthorised transfer or resale, no refund will be payable except where required by law.

If you can no longer attend, please contact Folly Woods directly. Customers must not privately advertise, sell or transfer their booking.

Festival Cancellation & Force Majeure

The cancellation, postponement, relocation or alteration of Glastonbury Festival does not automatically cancel your booking with Folly Woods.

Where Folly Woods remains open and able to provide the accommodation and services included within your booking, a decision by a guest not to attend following the cancellation, postponement or alteration of Glastonbury Festival will be treated as a cancellation by the guest and our normal cancellation policy will apply.

If Folly Woods itself is unable to operate or provide the booked accommodation because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, flooding, fire, disease, epidemic or pandemic, terrorism, civil unrest, government action or restriction, withdrawal of a necessary licence or permission, or another force majeure event, we reserve the right to cancel or make reasonable changes to the booking.

In the event of a forced cancellation by Folly Woods, we will review the circumstances and take reasonable and appropriate action. Where permitted by law, any refund may be reduced to take account of reasonable and non-recoverable costs, deposits, supplier charges or other expenses already incurred in connection with the booking.

We cannot guarantee a full refund where costs have already been incurred and cannot reasonably be recovered, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.

Your Stay

The hire period begins when you check in to Folly Woods and ends when you check out.

Check-in opens at 12:00 on Thursday 24 June 2027 and check-out must be completed by 11:00 on Monday 28 June 2027.

The Lead Booker may be required to provide booking confirmation and photographic identification on arrival.

Each bell tent may only accommodate the number of guests stated on the booking. Additional overnight guests are not permitted without our prior written approval.

Please check your bell tent and accommodation when you arrive and report anything missing, damaged or faulty to reception as soon as reasonably possible so that we have an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Bell tents must be left clean and tidy on departure and must not be moved, dismantled, altered or adjusted without our permission.

Lead Booker & Guest Responsibilities

The Lead Booker must be 18 years of age or older. Folly Woods is primarily intended for adult guests, and we generally ask that all guests are aged 18 or over.

If you are considering bringing a guest under the age of 18, please contact us before making your booking so that we can confirm whether this can be accommodated. Any guest under 18 who is permitted to stay must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult aged 18 or over at all times while on site. By making a booking that includes a guest under 18, the Lead Booker accepts responsibility for their supervision and conduct throughout the stay.

The Lead Booker is responsible for the conduct of their group and for any loss or damage caused by any member of that group where they are legally responsible for that loss or damage.

Hosts are responsible for ensuring that guests attending under guest passes comply with these Terms and the Folly Woods site rules.

Damage to Accommodation & Property

Guests must take reasonable care of all bell tents, furnishings, equipment, facilities and other Folly Woods property.

The Lead Booker may be charged the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing property that is lost or damaged as a result of deliberate action, negligence or breach of these Terms by the Lead Booker or a member of their group.

We may request valid payment card details to be securely held by our authorised payment provider as security against damage. Where we intend to make a damage charge, we will provide the Lead Booker with reasonable details of the damage and the amount charged.

Camp Rules

Smoking and vaping inside bell tents or other enclosed accommodation is strictly prohibited.

The following are also prohibited anywhere on the Folly Woods site:

  • naked flames, open fires, candles and personal barbecues;
  • personal cooking or heating appliances, including camping stoves, kettles and ovens;
  • glass bottles, drinking glasses and other glass containers;
  • illegal drugs and the unlawful possession, use or supply of controlled substances;
  • weapons or items intended to be used as weapons;
  • fireworks, flares and pyrotechnics;
  • unauthorised generators; and drones or other unmanned aerial vehicles unless expressly authorised by Folly Woods.

Reasonable exceptions may be made where electrical equipment is required for medical or accessibility purposes. Guests should contact us in advance wherever reasonably possible.

Guests must dispose of rubbish responsibly using the facilities provided and must not damage trees, plants, fencing, accommodation, facilities or any other part of the site.

Folly Woods operates a “leave no trace” policy. All guests are expected to help us leave the woodland as we found it.

Conduct, Refusal of Entry & Removal

Folly Woods management and authorised security personnel reserve the right, at their reasonable discretion, to refuse admission to or remove any person from the site where reasonably necessary for the safety, security, welfare or proper operation of Folly Woods.

Where a guest is refused admission or removed as a result of their own conduct or serious breach of these Terms, they will not normally be entitled to a refund for any unused portion of their stay, except where required by law.

Security

Folly Woods is a fully fenced site with 24-hour security around the perimeter. Our security team is in place to help maintain a safe, secure and enjoyable environment for guests while on site.

Security measures cannot guarantee that incidents, theft or loss will never occur, and guests remain responsible for taking reasonable care of themselves and their belongings.

Folly Wood Events Ltd accepts no responsibility for incidents, loss, injury or damage occurring outside the Folly Woods site perimeter unless caused by our negligence, breach of contract or another matter for which liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Woodland & Site Safety

Folly Woods is a natural woodland site and guests should be aware of the inherent features and risks associated with staying in and around woodland, including uneven ground, tree roots, branches and changing weather conditions.

We will take reasonable steps to maintain designated paths, accommodation areas and communal guest spaces.

Guests must remain within designated guest areas and must not enter restricted or non-public areas of the woodland.

Natural woodland carries inherent risks, including falling branches and trees. Guests who deliberately enter restricted or undesignated areas do so contrary to our instructions and may expose themselves to additional risks.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability which Folly Wood Events Ltd cannot lawfully exclude.

Accessibility

Folly Woods is a temporary outdoor woodland site and some areas may contain naturally uneven terrain.

Guests with accessibility requirements are encouraged to contact us before their stay so that we can discuss their requirements and any reasonable adjustments that may be available.

Nothing in these Terms limits our obligations under applicable equality legislation.

The Bar

Our bar is operated in accordance with its premises licence and applicable licensing law.

Alcohol will not be sold or supplied to anyone under the age of 18. We may require acceptable photographic identification.

We reserve the right to refuse the sale or service of alcohol where reasonably necessary for licensing, age-verification, safety or responsible-service purposes, including where a person appears intoxicated.

Personal Belongings

Guests remain responsible for their personal belongings, valuables, vehicles and equipment while at Folly Woods.

Any belongings left in bell tents or elsewhere on site are left at the guest’s own risk. Guests are strongly advised to keep valuables with them or otherwise securely stored.

Folly Wood Events Ltd will not be responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings unless caused by our negligence, breach of contract or another matter for which liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Photography & Filming

Photography and filming may take place at Folly Woods for promotional, operational and security purposes.

General photographs or footage of the site may include guests in the background. Where an identifiable individual is the particular focus of photography or filming intended for promotional purposes, consent will be obtained where appropriate.

Guests who do not wish to appear in promotional photography or filming should inform a member of the Folly Woods team or email hello@follywoods.co.uk.

Personal data, including identifiable photographs and video footage, will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.

Liability

Folly Wood Events Ltd will provide its accommodation and services with reasonable care and skill.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Subject to the above, Folly Wood Events Ltd will not be responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control or losses which were not reasonably foreseeable when the booking was made.

Guests remain responsible for loss or damage caused by their own deliberate actions, negligence or breach of these Terms.

Complaints

If you experience a problem during your stay, please report it to Folly Woods reception or management as soon as possible so that we can investigate and, where appropriate, resolve the matter.

Any complaint following your stay should be sent to hello@follywoods.co.uk and should include the Lead Booker’s name, booking details and a description of the issue.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.

Glastonbury Festival

Your booking with Folly Woods covers only the accommodation and services specifically stated in your booking confirmation.

A Glastonbury Festival ticket is not included unless expressly stated otherwise.

Guests attending Glastonbury Festival are responsible for holding a valid Festival ticket and for complying with Glastonbury Festival’s own terms, conditions, security requirements and admission policies.

Folly Wood Events Ltd is not responsible for decisions made by Glastonbury Festival concerning tickets, admission, programming, postponement, cancellation or operation of the Festival.

Privacy

Personal information provided in connection with your booking will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.

The Lead Booker must ensure that they have authority to provide any personal information relating to other members of their group where necessary.

Changes to These Terms

The version of these Terms in force when your booking is confirmed will normally apply to your booking.

We reserve the right to make reasonable amendments where necessary to comply with changes in law, licensing requirements, health and safety requirements or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where a change materially affects an existing booking, we will notify the Lead Booker as soon as reasonably practicable and provide any rights or remedies required by law.

Governing Law

These Terms and your booking are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights concerning jurisdiction.

Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights which cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
